Photo Gallery - British Auto Show, July 23 2008

I'm ready to launch my new gallery format and the British Auto Show in London last month seemed like great content, as it’s my most international and exclusive photo shoot yet. Let me know what you think of the new gallery, and hopefully I'll get everything else migrated into it soon as it looks nicer, and allows me to post photos more quickly. I'm all about efficiency!

The auto show in London was incredible, full of brands we never see in the states like Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, Vauxhall and Alfa Romeo, as well as micro brands like Tesla, Mastretta, Morgan, Lightning and NICE. Aston Martin had some beautiful cars on display, Alfa’s booth was saturated with thumpy Italian club beats and leggy Italian models, Citroen’s gleaming white booth featured an upscale lounge atmosphere with a full bar, Honda and Mazda hung cars from the ceiling and Vauxhall’s Insignia rode high-banked curves along the outer perimeter walls. I hit up the Top Gear booth for some awesome swag and a souvenir for Clint, and climbed all over the Nissan GTR, staying so long I got the booth hostess’s phone number. ;) I had a great - but exhausting - time trying to see all the exhibitors' wares and didn't have time to partake in any of the outdoor “experiences" but I saw enough to convince me I'd like to be back next year.

Good creepy airplane hangar

Eating my lunch on the midday break at motorcycle safety class, and looking around the empty hangars at Magneson Park. They're used for events now but have definitly seen some rough times of vandalism and abandonment, with busted windows, graffiti, crumbling sheetrock and crooked stairs. I'd love to come back with my camera for an urban decay photoshoot but today my focus is becoming a better rider.

Sunny saturday in Leavenworth

After two back-to-back trips in two countries, i'm finally headed for Houston airport and my flight to Seattle. It's been a great time, both the whirlwind in London and relaxing in Galveston, but i'm ready to plant my feet, at least for a few weeks. :)

Moody Gardens, Galveston TX

I haven't even posted my pics of my last trip to Galveston in April, but I was desperate to use a Mac for a few minutes after a week with nothing but my work laptop, and once I sat down at Clint’s Mac Mini I just couldn't tear myself away. And that’s how I found myself elbow-deep in Photoshop pulling these pictures off my camera for you while Clint made lunch, fed Lllian, cleaned up the kitchen, and otherwise did all the work. ;)

Clint, Lillian and I toured Moody Gardens this morning, wandering through the indoor rain forest looking at frogs, birds, bats, fish, a sloth and a chevrotain. Here’s a few of my favorite pics in the meantime, before I get my photo gallery overhaul finished and post the full set.

Rollin deep in Houston

Listening to local hiphop in my silver ford focus and cruising thru downtown Houston on my way to Galveston Island. Got the seat leaned back, the tunes up loud, my aviators on and the sun low in the Texas sky, a 21st century cowboy riding into the sunset.
