• Headed out early to meet the guys for an NWI team drive, over the ocean and thru the woods we go. #
• Started Battlestar Galactica from the beginning and now the AppleTV beckons us away from sleep with just… one… more…episode. #
• Enjoying some pretty good live bands surrounded by unwashed hipsters at a Seattle Center free concert. #
• Awesome dim sum at House of Hong with my peeps. I loves me some sesame shrimp balls! #

• After only one week I’ve figured out that the iPhone’s greatest weakness – besides the terrible camera – is AT&T. #

A great day for a drive with the NWI crew, across the Mukilteo ferry and over Deception Pass. We stopped at a scenic spot overlooking the sound and took a few photos to commemorate the trip.

A morning spent exploring Pioneer Square’s alleys and backstreets with Alex looking for photogenic things, places and moments. I love scenes of urban decay and south Seattle definitely has its share of that, but there are also some beautiful, well-preserved historic buildings along with nuggets of modern progressivism. The neighborhood really is a mixed bag, both architecturally and socially, and I think that’s what’s so appealing about it to me.

• Bike is running but too late to ride anywhere but for groceries. No idea why it wouldn’t start. Weird, it’s a Kawasaki, not a Ducati. #

• Headed to the track with Matt for the Pinks All Out race day. Have cash, camera, tickets, sunscreen… earplugs. #
• The clouds are lifting, the monsoon has ended! #

A noisy, smoky, awesome afternoon with Matt down at Pacific Raceways in Kent for a stop on the Pinks All Out tour, pitting flawless vintage hot rods against modern juiced-up muscle cars and boxy American steel against high-revving imports. The excitement revolved partly around the cars and partly around the celebrities, but I really only got good pictures of the cars as I didn’t have my SLR with the 300mm zoom lens, just my pocket camera. Still, you can see Rich Christensen flagging the racers in a few shots.
