Some brilliant scientist has finally solved the “how do I keep all my cyborg implants’ batteries charged” problem with a power cell that is fueled on blood glucose – much the same way the bodys’ cells are – and has demonstrated an under-the-skin touch screen interface with infinite use time (as long as your heart’s still beating, basically) and a bluetooth link to, say, my Nokia smartphone. Hopefully this same concept is also being applied to a bluetooth headset that goes right in my ear and never needs to be charged, either. I’m ready for the cyborg revolution – I welcome our new human-robot-hybrid overlords!

A walk around Seattle’s central shopping district and the Pike Place Market neighborhood with my buddy and fellow photographer Alex early on a Friday morning in June. We didn’t have a particular agenda, just to get on the street, feel the pulse of the city, and hopefully capture a few meaningful moments on (digital) film. Like the inefficient digital photographer I am, I shot several hundred frames and culled them down to the 41 shots in this gallery.
