Departed the valley of the sun today, returned home to family and my own sofa… (mom & danielle are staying in my room). I was welcomed back to the emerald city by a glorious sunny afternoon driving mom around in the Z and a relaxing dinner with mom, sis, & shanna. Phoenix was a total blast, a great vacation with friends new & old, and a very special weekend for ian & jenn. I’m a little bit tan, very tired, and determined to travel more regardless of the cost as i’m finding i really enjoy it. I can say with confidence now that i know my way around phoenix, can find a few nice hot spots, know where to get a 24hr enchilada, and have a handle on starbucks hours & locations. The one thing i don’t know is what happened to kim’s underwear?? LOL But at least the margaritas were as cold as the pavement was hot, & the comics – standup or otherwise – were funny & free.

Out for dinner in tempe, enchilada-smothered ribeye steak & margaritas for all. Nice leather sofa to relax on, & it’s still almost 80 outside

Spending the afternoon in the pool, soaking up the sun, what a life! Headed to tempe for dinner with dave, anna, sophia.

Taking kim to the airport, she and anna and i will grab a quick, overpriced lunch before her flight. Kim’s been a blast to travel with!

The piano bar we had in mind was closed, so we ended up at hooters! Ordered a big basket of hot wings…
