I’ve learned something about myself this month. Without goals to achieve, I opt to do absolutely nothing. Without stars to reach for, I shoot my own foot rather than the moon.
My original goal of the Ultimate T-Shirt Challenge was to reach July 4th. (Step 1: Wear a different shirt every day until July 4th. Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profit!) In my defense, July included an unusually high number of days when I wasn’t able to wear a t-shirt, and also a large incidence of not-my-normal-schedule days that really threw me off. Mostly, though, I’m lazy, and without any motivation I defaulted to absolute 0. It’s the laws of physics, really; an object at rest tends to stay at rest unless something prods it sufficently.
Anyway, here’s a catch-up of some of the more interesting shirts I’ve worn in July. Look forward to more shirts in August, while I try and develop a new goal…
Day 57:

This is a Threadless original titled “Sticks of Shame.” I thought it was funny, although I can actually use chopsticks pretty well for a white guy.
Day 58:

From Costa Azul surf shop in Todos Santos, Baja Mexico - on our family vaca to Cabo last October.
Day 59:

Sweet Transformers shirt that John K bought me at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square. He was in NYC for work during the movie release this summer otherwise we would have gone to the sneak preview show together.
Day 60:

I actually haven’t been to New Mexico, but I’m pretty sure you can at least drink the tap water there.
Day 61:

We all know I love the EFF. I sent them some money and they sent me this most excellent shirt.
Day 62:

Love this movie!
Day 63:

Strictly speaking, I’m really not. But it’s fun to wear.
Day 64:

Chris K gave me this shirt. He didn’t have the guts to wear it (or else, it’s a medium and he had too much guts to wear it, I forget his reason) but we all know I’ll wear just about anything printed on a t-shirt. ;)
